where to look for a loaner?

Where do guy find good loans? Needle and haystack comes to mind, all I seem to have is people whom clearly don't read my advert or people who don't understand the meaning of loaning... will I pay the costs of livery, shoes and feed when they have him on loan. No, I don't think I will! Then getting a bit of a blunt come back if I ask them if they have references or numbers I can phone...

How does everyone else find the loaning thing?

I contemplated it last year. Thought I'd get someone to exercise mines free of charge whilst I spent time with my daughter on her lead-rein! Never again, I'm no where near a good rider but one person couldn't get him down the centre line and another only wanted me to take a video of her riding so she could see if they were compatible!! I asked them both to get off as it clearly wouldnt work out.......
