Hello

I am looking for a sharer but been looking on FB pages and Pre-loved as well as Horsedates with no joy where else can I advertise?

Ive had the odd email mainly from very young girls who sadly with my mare isnt a good idea and from people who only want to pay £15 a week unfortunatly I pay this a day for livery.

Any Advise ?

Sadly all i can find are people who want to pay £15 pw! Its crazy they'd be lucky to get 1 lesson for £15 a week let alone the chance to ride a horse at their own lesiure 2-3 times a week.

Im looking for £50 a week which is achieveable as others on the yard have sharers for this money but then Im on a professional yard on Full livery so in my eyes if it was me id love to have a share with no yard jobs and ride 3 times a week.

Hmmm that does sound like a good set up for someone who's already a competent rider to be able to turn up, have fun and leave again!

Unfortunately I'm DIY but they can do anything they like with her. And I'm offering plenty of days out and shows in summer. Again, with the oppurtunity that any shows they want to go to on her we will take them.
So they've got use of a horse and a box for £15PW and all I've had is time wasters and a young girl who would have been unsuitable. AHHHHHHH.

I have seen your post on fb i think and wish I was closer!! However it might be worth remembering that some people would see it that they are doing you a favour so don't want to pay quite so much. If they just ride twice a week that is £25 a ride without any instruction etc, I would think that was quite a lot especially if you are looking for experienced riders who might get offered rides to help people out?? I currently pay £10 a day for my share that I do two days a week and I have to do yard jobs. In your advert it says she needs an experienced rider - that might put some capable but modest people out. Maybe say why you want an experienced rider - does she spook/buck/rear or is she just sensitive and needs a well balanced and sympathetic rider?

Have you tried putting an ad up in local tack shops? It might also be worth asking at Newton Hall if they know anyone or if you can put an advert up there.
