ok i have a lovley but very timid welsh sec A gelding who is being brought around to ride &drive (been abused in the past so restarting him) & got a small welsh mare for a companion for him (& for my toddlers to ride) however she is not the first ridden she was got as & is scaring my toddlers.

on the ground she is a dream, gentle easy to catch, good for farrier ect but ridden! she bucks & spins when she can & will tank off given half the chance (thats when you get the saddle on her!) i dont have the time to put into her to bring her on from scratch too & its unfair to them to both get half measures. now due too him being such a wimp i cannot leave him alone for more than an hour or so so selling her looking for a new one isnt an option but i cant afford to buy untill she has gone.
grazing isnt an issue its purchaise funds & wimpy knickers.

so where can i try for a swap? a project for a competent lightweight teen in exchange for a nice cob type that i can ride out on im fairly easy on the age it just needs to live out & be safe so i can lead from it.

any ideas on where to look.
