Hi,
I sold my boy in March (to a fab home) and now im getting itchy feet being horseless :(

I was at Hopetoun helping a friend at the weekend and it made me really want to get out competing. My last horse was a bit of a chicken XC so put me off a bit but id love to do some un-aff XC with a view to moving on should I begin to enjoy it.

Ideally id love to just share a horse as im supposed to be saving my pennies for a house deposit but im not sure id ba able to find a suitable horse (and owner). Does anyone have any ideas where to look?

Im a fairly competent rider and happy to put in hardwork and the £ as i know horses are expensive and time consuming.

I suppose i used to (perhaps wrongly) think that sharing was more of a thing for novice riders as a step to seeing if they could mannage/afford there own horse but now i seem to hear of loads of people sharing horses that have often had years of experience owning their own before circumstances have dictated otherwise (like me)

Advice and other peoples experiences much appreciated

x

shame you're not nearer as i'm currently looking someone - local tack shops, plus plug Loan/Sharer into internet. Gd luck with your search

Have sent you a PM! Hopalong is currently sharer-less (her previous one enjoyed it so much she bought her own!) and was going to start advertising end of Aug. If you're near, would love to chat. If you're not but know anyone reliable and lovely who is near and may be interested, then feel free to pass on their details to me! :)

Figjam - will pm you once I'm home (can't do pm via iPhone lol)

It's always the way that people too far awayare looking for a hand. In a perfect world I'd like to help someone that has a couple of horses so that I could take the pressure off both financially and time wise.
