Hi there, I'm hoping someone can help me! I've just moved to Surrey from Hertfordshire (between Dorking and Leatherhead) and until I find a horse to share, I wanted to find a really good riding school for lessons. I've looked on the BHS site, but all the schools look a bit to walk, trot, canter and that's about it. I'm coming from an A5 dressage yard, so really want somewhere that will push me on. Any ideas?

Think you might be a bit far reaching to expect that from a riding school.... I'd work on instructors with their own yards maybe... comp riders etc... who might have a horse they'd lend you for these lessons....

Saying that i live in reigate and dont know of any in the immediate area.....

If you don't mind a bit of a drive I know of someone in Kent that has 2 grandprix level trained horses that she does lessons on. I am going to her for my 1st lesson on thurday so can let you know what she is like. I think it will probably be about an hours drive for you but in my opinion its not too far if you get what you are looking for. I am going to improve my position before rebacking my youngster.

How about Oldencraig (expensive I think but possibly nice horses) that's very near Lingfield racecourse, prob about an hour's drive from you (less if M25 is ok).

Will try and think of some others.
