I have a (nearly) brand new Stubben Edelweiss saddle (been sat on twice!) and I need to sell it as it really doesn't fit my horse (saddler checked) and despite it being a birthday present, it now seems stupid to have a fairly expensive (cost just shy of £1200) saddle sitting around not doing anything. As I've just had to shell out another £1200 for a new saddle that does fit I could really do with selling this to help pay for it. To look at you wouldn't know it had ever been ridden in - no marks on girth straps etc. My saddler has said she wont take Stubben saddles as they struggle to sell them, and she wont take brand new saddles as she wouldn't make much on them. So, where do I sell it? I don't really want to go to ebay, as I am hoping to get back at least £600 for it, and I just don't see that happening on ebay. I thought about saddles direct - has anyone got experience of selling saddes on there? Or are there any other places/websites I could try? Any help appreciated!

I've bought some bargains on EBay, but I've also sold saddles for more than I thought they were worth (they were bid up - not my fault - and the buyers were happy with them soo...)

Remember though that EBay now charge extortinate fees.

Why not try freeads or your rural section of your local paper (if you have one) first? Would your local tack shop let you stick an ad up if she won't take it off your hands?
