My daughter has found having 2 has become too much with school etc and she has bravely said she wants to sell her pony. He isnt the easiest TBH and I will be totally honest in the ad, as he is not happy with you in his stable (there is reasons) and is not the easiest with his little quirks but..... he is fab comp pony in his first year he has done PC event teams level 3 always clear XC (eridge firle etc) gets 8's for his canter and is only 6!
Its a shame but i have to admire her for being honest saying its too much to cope with and he does need riding regular as he can be fizzy!!
Now we are not expecting a fortune for him but he would easily intro so despite his quirks he must be worth £3k??

I also think maybe a weeks trial to see if buyers can handle him?? do you think this is a good idea?? I wish she would keep him but at 12 1 pony is quite enough i suppose so she going to concentrate on new one.

Her decision not mine

Sorry this is definately not a sales post as not in any hurry to sell and might wait a bit to see if she changes her mind but again shall i do horsequest/horsemart?? H&H has been unsucessful for me in the past??

I sold a pony very similar, I think if you are brutally honest with people they will put up with the quirks for a pony that goes well xc. I was so paranoid I wrote a list of likes and dislikes and total no-no's for our pony. She is now happily in a PC home hunting and xcing with a 14 year old girl.

He will def go on to BE and he is a connie forgot to ad which seem quite popular atm stunning iron grey one so he looks the part.
He had such a bad start bless him he is just wary of adults but 100% fine with my daughter so you would never no he was quirky

How big is he? I would happily buy something like this but I am just a (very) short adult! I love the 'quirky' ones!

TGM thought about that does anyone have any sucess on there??

[/ QUOTE ] Yes - there was a post on here a couple of weeks ago about this, and lots of people seemed to have sold their ponies through the site. I know it was the first place I looked when we were buying a pony.

Yeah, I would say pony club website too. Intro is novice challenge height, level three, and he's noly six. He's good on the flat, and has a good comp record? I'd say about 4k. A trial would be a good idea as long as everyone is happy as it means you can make sure you're happy with where he is going to. However, we had someone take my pony on trial for two weeks (conveniently over the easter holidays) and then bring him back offering a ridicuolous amount of money for no reason other than he ahd no intention of buying his daughter a pony. So be wary.

Yes he easily BE intro now he got good record with PC and won/placed hunter trials and unaff SJ. He will only improve as he gets older so. Fab on flat (8 for canter) would only do 1 week trial as have heard this before but people need too see if they can cope with his ways.
Jumps at home 1.10m with ease and competes level 3 PC with ease so will easily move up to level 4 in a year or so. Everyone who knows him thinks he is fantastic, I might speak to a friend who is a pony dealer but a bit specialised she might help as everyone i know goes to her for ponies
Little pic for you
