I've got to sell my husbands horse, as he's very underused. I've never had to sell a horse before, I've had recommendations for HorseMart, HorseQuest and Coloured Contacts - can anyone give me any feedback on these please?

I've used horsemart, both to sell and buy. It's the main one I use, however since the new layout I don't know if it's as popular as it was. I think it still gets a lot of views though.

I'm not a fan of HorseQuest myself but I've not really had any experience with it. And not heard of the other one.

I think no matter where you advertise as long as you ad has all the info needed and some decent pictures you'll get calls.

All of the ones you mention are good. As is Adhorse and Horse Deals. I'd start off with coloured contacts. Echo is lovely I'm sure you'll sell him easily.

IMO it depends on the horse you are trying to sell.
I personally think horsedeals is more for competition type horses, they are all I seem to come across when browsing.
Horsemart seems to be for every day horses aswell as comp horses. I prefer this site out of all of them.
The first two are IMO user friendly if people are searching for certain things (ie price/area), so would recommend them.
Horsequest I do not like at all and I haven't really used it when buying horses because of the layout.

I have had a good response from Horsequest, and brought my horse from Coloured contacts, but when I was selling my pony, got NO response from coloured contacts...
