where to sell saddle?

i have a very nice dressage saddle that i need to sell...where should i do it? was going to sell to saddles direct but they have emailed back and said they'd sell for me but take 40% of the price

that seems a hell of a lot! alternatively i can put a private add on their website for £10 which is totally much more acceptable. i can't think of anywhere else except ebay...but then i don't want to risk selling it for some pitiful amount....

any ideas?

do you have a local tack shop or saddlery? one of my locals is 20% the other 30.

20% I can cope with!

yeah i suppose...what would you say i should put...
its a hardly used Ideal Jessica DR saddle...virtually as new- £500? saddles direct said they would put £550 for in their shop...

ebay has problems with regards to saddles being high value items now though doesnt it? and buyer feedback...... it has been posted about several times.

My ideal jessica, no wear has gone in shop for £525 and I will drop as necessary, I paid £500 for it 9 months ago.

sorry no idea, have never bought or sold off ebay I just know that there are many on here who have said they will no longer use ebay for saddles.

I listed my nearly new Passier dressage saddle on BD, Ebay and as many free listing websites as I could find. Initially didn't have much luck and only low offers, but about two months later had 3 people contact me in the same week as they'd come across the old ads via search engines. The first to see it paid cash on collection, so no p+p costs either, great!

So if you don't get the offer you want initially I'd say be patient. Good luck!

ebay hold your money in escrow EITHER for 30 days OR until you get positive feedback - not really a problem

cheaper than dropping 20%

Idea jessica's sell well on ebay - most well know named brands do. A resever price on ebay is expensive so instead start the bidding at the lowest you're willing to let it go for.
