I got a very sweet well behaved pony a year and a bit ago.wanted to sell him on but little girl fell in love with him so Put him on loan to lovely people. Long story short pony is coming back to me as little girl has out grown him and he is being a sod pot. I am still trying to loose the winter podge so can't get on it but I can't re loan it or sell it as it is so I'm abit stuck really. Any suggestions

Depends whereabouts you are and how much you are prepared to pay!

If you want the cheap(er) route you need to ask round at local PCs to see if there are any tough but competent kids whose parents want (or will let) them to have a play with a naughty pony. Or older light teens who'll take pity on you and sort him out. My daughter's been called on in both circumstances but has rather outgrown it now.

Alternatively whereabouts are you as I do know a couple of very good lightweight professionals who could help out.

He will prob be based nr ingatestone unless I can find somewhere closer to me around orsett. I really don't want to pay full up schooling livery for a 12h but if there is a lightweight rider willing to ride him a few times a week I would be willing to pay. Or even if someone took him to sell and I just get my few hundrew quid out of him and they can keep the rest. This is a cracking little pony it just needs 2 weeks boot camp. If you could pm me names and numbers that would be fab :) thanks

We are a long way from you so prob wouldn't work out. Both the people I know are professionals and charge prof rates. It takes just as much of their time to care for and ride a 12hh as it would a 16hh. You may find someone willing to take him on grass livery to reschool when the weather improves.

A friend of mine's daughter who events at a high level is light enough to ride 12hh and takes on little sods!

She is based in north Hertfordshire, and she is very reasonable price wise, so it depends on whether it's worth the diesel from where you are. She sorted out my spooky 12.2 years ago. Too far for her to pop over to you as she has a small yard to do, but if you get no better offers I can send you her number.
