Does anyone know where I can enter my Spanish horse for some in-hand showing classes? We're based in Reading, Berks.

I'm not looking for big shows, just something small, low-key, within 30 miles where he can get some experience in-hand. We're not going out to win, just to take part and to get out a bit so any type of event would be suitable.

We've been to Hall Place up the road but the next one is at Easter. Are there any 'Winter Woolly" events where he can compete? Anywhere along the M4.

Also because he's 4 in May we can't enter Youngstock classes so I believe we're limited to in-hand coloureds (he's a dun) or in-hand Riding horse.

Any ideas?

Here's a link to some photos if you're curious about my odd-coloured horse.

I'm trying to find somehwere myself for my Andalusian colt. I think I'll be limited here in Ireland to hunter breeding classes - I don't imagine there will be any Spanish horse classes for me to take him to!

Looking at your pics - are you sure your horse is Dun? He just looks bay from those pictures although it could be my screen

Definitely a dun.

He has the dorsal stripe and leg stripes if you look carefully.

They're not great pictures but 23 shows all his stripes.

He's on the Part IV register.

I saw the pic of the stripe yes and the leg barring but primitive markings don't always = dun gene and I couldn't really see anything else that would point to dun. His coat colour is definitely not a usual dun shade and the legs of a bay dun would be lightened where his look black. You would also usually see a variation between body colour and the top of the legs which I don't see either but as I said it could well be my screen playing tricks on me as it's not very good!

Black mane and tail and black legs also make me think he is bay not dun (and darker brown not lighter brown/cream colour) but i am deff no expert in horse colours! And hey who am i to comment my boy (profile pic) is black on his passport as he was born black haha!!

Anyone know of any classes where I can show a foreign horse that is not yet 4, not broken and of debatable colour?
