Where too look for cheap/ free pony as companion?

As title. My mares due to foal at the start of July, shes foaling in a large box which is away from the others, and so dont want her too be on her own.
I was thinking a little pony as company would be perfect. Even better if it was ridable as my friend little lad could have a sit on it every now and then.

Where too look guys?
 
I agree, local rescue centres would be the best bet

Oh bit far then lol...I was going to say I've got a little 14hh mare could have had for a bit if you were really stuck for a companion but I'm in Norfolk lol.

welsh sec b mare. april is a sweet natured mare who is quite nervous so she is never going to make a childs pony due to this. companion home only.

if you are in cheshire there is an blue cross place in burton upon trent thats not to far away from you i am in shropshire and went there a couple of weeks ago and there was some lovely horses and ponies!
