Anyone know where the team and individual qualifiers will be shown. All the online info just says they are on but not the channels/ websites etc. Also I don't have red button so that's not an option. Hilarious, there is so much written about it, that then omits the most crucial info - where can we see it!?
 
If you can get iplayer, go to categories and then sport. Will show equestrian, click on that and then click on small video screen at 13.55.

Think this is right??!!
 
Gutted it won't let me watch coz I'm in another country! Will you guys keep an eye on Janika Sprunger and Bonne Chance, my friend has her maternal brother - a stallion - so keen to know how she does! And apparently no way to watch it from here - blimmin' ridiculous!
 
Thanks Ailbheg, tried to watch on rte but it kept cutting out! And I have a good internet connection...most unsatisfactory coverage. Perhaps better in Dublin maybe, but should work nationwide!
 
It's a bit patchy unfortunately, don't think it can cope with the number of viewers. Just found out at the end that they were showing some of it at least on RTE News Now, so could be worth keeping an eye on for the next round.
 
Okay now it makes sense because seemed to play fine and then just kept crashing, so couldn't cope with the numbers. I think Tasha's idea might be the best, it would be great to have the BBC player anyway - which currently we're not allowed. Seeing as the Unionists in the North are apparently applying for Irish passports post Brexit - we might as well get ourselves some UK IP addresses:)

The problem is that BBC have deactivated the red button for Ireland but if you follow the instructions below you can add as extra channels to SKY. You can do similar for other TV services but you would have to figure out how to do that I have Sky so only found out about that. It gives you an additional 8 Olympic channels

To add new channels to your "Other Channels" section on your Sky+HD Digibox then simply do the following....

• Press the "SERVICES" button on your remote and then keep pressing the "LEFT ARROW" until you see "OPTIONS" highlighted.

• Now press the "DOWN ARROW" on your remote and on the middle menu keep pressing the "LEFT ARROW" until you see "ADD CHANNELS" highlighted.

• Now, press the "DOWN ARROW" again and a few boxes will show up at the bottom which you have to enter details into.

• In the appropriate fields enter the information required. To move through the fields simply press the "UP ARROW" and "DOWN ARROW" keys.

• In the FREQUENCY field enter the 5 digit code, (it starts with either 10, 11 or 12 in the table above). Don't worry about the full stop in the frequencies, you do not have to enter them on Sky set-top boxes.

• The next three fields are toggle fields, i.e. you use the "LEFT ARROW" and "RIGHT ARROW" keys to change the values.

Polarisation - either H or V
Symbol Rate - either 22000, 23000, 27500 or 29500
FEC - either 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 4/5, 5/6, 6/7, 7/8, 8/9 or 9/10
Modulation - either DVB-S or DVB-S2 (only DVB-S2 transponders have a further option - QPSK or 8PSK)


Once you have entered all the required information, press "YELLOW" to scan for the channels and in a few moments it should pop up, along with any other channels on the same frequency.

• Use the "YELLOW" button to place a tick beside each channel you find and wish to store and when you've finished ticking press "SELECT". These channels will now be stored in your "OTHER CHANNELS" menu. To get to the list of other channels, press "SERVICES" then press the "DOWN ARROW" then keep pressing the "RIGHT ARROW" until you see the "OTHER CHANNELS" option highlighted, then press "DOWN ARROW" again. Highlight the channel you wish to view, then press "SELECT" to preview and "SELECT" again to make it full screen.

Thanks very much Max, that's great info - I'll give it a lash or maybe draft in my techie niece to help. Blimmin infuriating not to be able to watch!

Thanks Old Trout, I managed to catch her round on the website of RTE before it went down - she did amazing and is only ten. Great for a young rider and a young little mare. Would love to know where she figured in the final stats - had a good time on 80 seconds.
