I have a horse for sale, which for me is a rarity and I don't know where is best to advertise her, either in H&H or on the internet or horse mart. Do you have any views experience etc to pass on. Many thanks.
I sold a pony this year. I used Horse and hound (but it was not an expensive horse, so the ad was cheap - gets pricey for a more expensive horse..) and also an ad on the pony club website, which generated LOADS of calls (albeit a few fussy mothers and kids who rang up without parents knowing!) My friend used Horsemart but it was quite slow and she changed to the PC website, which sold it.
My friend used horsemart and didn't get much response, another friend used horsequest (for a more valuable horse) and got a fair few enquiries, I bought one of mine from an ad on adhorse. Hope that helps a little?
Think it depends on the type of horse. Friend placed her RC type for sale yesterday on horsemart and has someone coming to view tomorrow! Higher end horses I think are better advertised on horsequest and H&H.
Thanks, I don't really want to sell her, but she's not going to be big enough for me, so it's better for some-one else to get the pleasure from her than her be a field ornament.
