..to find a horse for loan? Preferably with a view to buying in the future.

We've just sold my daughters 13.2hh pony and my mare is out of commission with an injury.

Ideally I'm looking for something of cob type around 14.2hh - 15hh that we could share. Welsh section D or Highland would also do the job! Doesn't need to be able to jump or be highly competitive - just needs to be safe and sane (don't want much do I??

Any suggestions? We're based in Scotland but could travel for right pony.

thanks for your help

Put ads up in all the local feed merchants and saddlers. Also ask farriers and instructors - remember all they do is travel round yards so get to know what is coming up for sale or loan, and also what has been outgrown. If your local pony club and riding club have newsletters why not see if you can put an advert in there as well.

The more people who know you are looking the better! Good luck
