My horse-box has just been serviced and passed MOT she is old and needless to say doesn't enjoy cold starts. I have avoided the easy start spray unless she becomes dependant on it. Today after a front she wouldnt fire up dispite blowing hot air via heater in air intake. My cosin is going to check her out when he visits in summer.
She is an old Ford iveco 7.5 ton 12v
Lucky for us we had a friend near by who let us borrow their potable batter booster jump thingy. We hooked it up and tried her straight away and she fired up no probs and was fine all day.
Can anyone tell me the rules of what to look for when buying one. There are load avail but no point in getting one not powerful enough or whatever. I will check what our friends one was But any info appreciated folks. Cheers

I would have someone check the batery and or the starter or its maybe the batery is being drained by
the tacho when its not running have you got a isolator or do you remember to take the battery terminal off ??? then you wont need a booster !!!!!

I bought a solar pannel which sits on the dashboard and plugs into the cigarette lighter socket. Works pretty well . Cost about 25 quid and saved me a lot of bother.

Yup, a solar pannel and it keeps the battery topped up all the time.Works pretty well on my cargo. The tacho draws a bit too much current (bloody electric tacho,s ,give me a cable driven one anyday). Incidentaly the odd sniff of easy start is ok in moderation.
