horse is currently on paper but it is a bit light for winter (in an old pig barn) so looking for other dust free options...
heard the stuff at blenheim this year was quite good- anyone know what it is called?
Suggestions please! :D
Thanks

I am a huge fan of BedDown excel. Mix of shavings/chopped straw. Smells lovely and has that tight balance od being soft/holding poos together and very moveable. It is excellent for absorbancy too.

we're on wood pellets which don't seem to be dusty at all and 'sit' really well. If that makes sense. They don't blow about or get walked about too much. I think other people have had dust issues with them so maybe depends where you get them from? They're so easy to muck out though and are super absorbent too.

Due to Cooper being so wet, i've changed from shavings to Megazorb. Its wood pulp and very absorbent. Not at all dusty and doesnt blow around. I've found out it is easier to maintain if you have the bed about 8inches thick at least. I use rubber matting with it.

I use coco peat for a few of my horses that are particularly delicate and it is great. Really easy to clean, totally dust free and Biodegradable. When I take out the wet patches(once a week) I put it the field shelters and it dries out, it is much cheaper in the long run as you need a lot less than shavings.:D
