i have a big 16.3 Dutch warmblood i compete him in bsja discovery and Im hoping to move him up to newcomers, but.. i am only 5ft tall and i find it really hard to bring him back to me after the fences. As soon as he jumps he goes flat and sticks his head down and opens his mouth wide (he has a flash)! Should i use a mexican on him? When i first got him he had a snaffle and i found it wasnt strong enough so i used a pelham but i found it had too much leverage and it was too strong, now i have a hanging cheek but that still doesnt bring him back! I could do with a bit that would just lighten him up! He used to compete dressage to elementary so he is schooled very well he knows all about canter collection but just not when we are jumping... Any ideas!!!??!! Thanks
