Which bit to start young horse with little mouth room in?

Hi

I am about to mouth my 3 1/2 year old. I was going to use a happy mouth, but she has little room in her mouth between her tongue and palate, a typical Anglo Arab mouth. I think she will eventually be in a ported bit, but think when starting off the side to side action of these bits will not give clear enough signals. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I used a Cambridge snaffle/magic bit for my Welsh b pony with a tiny mouth x

I thought about using the magic bit for my horse who has big lips and riding and not much room.

But I was put off by how thin it was ( I know that's the idea) but its seems quite severe ?
