Hello,
This is all new to me and i would like some advice please.
My daughter has her first lead rein shows coming up and i am really confused regarding the bit her pony can have in.
At home she rides in a fillis hanging cheek snaffle and the pony is excellent in it but is this suitable for the following classes
Lead rein Showing
Lead rein mountain and moorland
Lead rein Working Hunter
Lead rein Jumping
It is only a local show but i was wondering if we would be marked down for the bit - do i need a straight forward snaffle.
Thanks in advance xx

The bit is fine, but depending on the judge you could be marked down. If you think that the pony will go well in a plain eggbutt or loose ring snaffle then I would compete in that. However, if the pony is worse in a loose ring or eggbutt snaffle then I woud keep with the hanging cheek, as in the case that you do lose any marks, you can then make them up again by giving a good show :)
