I'd like to try my horse in a new bit but I'm not sure what to go for!

She has a sensitive mouth but can lean a little on occasion.

What's everyone's thoughts on:

Fixed Vs Loose
Joint Vs Lozenge Vs Straight Bar

Help please!!

Now, I am not extremely experienced when it comes to bits, but I would choose a loose ring double jointed (Lozenge) bit, maybe copper or sweet iron. The Lozenge makes it softer and the loose rings will not let your horse to lean on it too much - although leaning is cured by good training, not bits in particular. This is my favourite option - http://www.canterequestrian.co.uk/e...zenge-sweet-iron-loose-ring-snaffle-112-p.jpg

^^ exactly what we changed to for the same problem! Also swapped to a drop noseband & although is still continuing with schooling, she was instantly lighter xx

Agree with Sleipnir. Give it a whirl and see how you get on. There is also a Happy Mouth version of this bit (which my tb preferred)
