Which boots to use on my horse

My horse keeps catching his front fetlock joint. I always put brushing boots on when i ride him, but he is still somehow catching his fetlock and re-opening the cut.

Do you think something like the pro-choice medicine boots would be any good? I do have a premier equine type but find them not to fit my horse that well around the fetlock joint
