I am bored and supposed to be on box rest, so of course I have been looking through all sales adverts

So here's the question I put to you guys! If you could buy any breed what would it be and why?

Have always wanted a Section D and ride a friends bolshy, stubborn grumpy git regularly, but then last year I rode a friends New Forest and just fell in love.

I actually own a Suffolk Punch cross and a coloured pikey horse

A Section D - but a big one, at least 15.2.When I was looking all the nice big ones were megabucks so I ended up with an IDxHippo

Why NF's? they seem to be rather popular

I had never had anything to do with NFs, always thought they were rather stuffy little things - until I bought an absolutely fabulous one from JM07.

Star or what!

Everyone loved him, he did the lot, PC, hunted with a 10 year old on board, PC Area dressage, jumped, I rode him too. Absolutely gutted to leave him behind.

He really changed my perspective on Newfies for the better.

I only have eyes for Jazzy:

He is a clydesdale x TB. Just chunky enough but with a good turn of speed. Brave, honest and in my humble opinion just drop dead gorgeous!

Maybe I'm biased but hey ho!

Fell - just gorgeous. Or an IDxTB. Although I have recently started riding TB's (point to pointers) having previously dismissed "little skinny flighty horses" as not my thing - and they are winning me round!

Something British - especially if you include the emerald isle !

Connemara , Irish draughts , Welsh ponies mix in a little bit of TB and you've got a demon mix can tun their hoofs to anything ! :-)

Oh and the queen loves her Fell ponies and Cleveland bays - I find them stubborn but who am I to argue with the Queen ?

They are just such fantastic ponies, and so versatile as already said, brains but bags of character and fun

QR-

My first choice would probably be a Welsh cob but having owned a thoroughbred sporthorse (1/4 Welsh) for 3 years and just taken another tbx on loan, then I have to say I'm very much swayed towards them too.

I love the action of the welshies but also admire the grace of the thoroughbred so if I'm allowed to say tb x welsh, then that would be my favourite.

Well if we were buying, for OH it would have to be a clydesdale, nothing else would be considered.

Whilst I still occasionally get a yearning for another TB, I would buy a very hairy good gypsy cob as I love this breed and would like a piebald to compliment my skewbald.

I also rather fancy a highland.

Pony,got to be a NF.
Cute, lovable nature that will turn a hoof to anything.
Horse,TB.
Never able to put my finger on what it is about them, but I adore TB's.
