which bridle?

i am looking to buy 2 bridles. One for everyday use, schooling,hacking jumping etc and one for competing, SJ , XC etc.

any recommendations?

The every day one, up to £80
Outing one £150 or a little bit more.
I was thinking of the elevator ones but not sure if they are really any good. Any other suggestions for ones that relieve poll pressure.
 
I have an Elevator and wouldn't buy another. It is still fairly crampt round my horse's ears and it has gone brown (I bought it black). I think the Albion ones are supposed to be good but never used one myself.
 
i got a passier double for my x0mas and it is devine!!!! i love it!!! also have stubben, sabre, jw and elevator and i like the elevator and sbare is ok.
 
I have a bridle from Gibsons of Newmarket and it has been going for 4 years now and still cleans up really nicely.

It was definitely less than £100.

I've just got a Rhinegold comfort bride (actually a double) from ebay for £30, its lovely, like new, nice leather - very pleased with it

I have an albion KB snaffle and love it... Its really densely padded around the nose and poll areas and the leather is beautiful. They've also got a decent choice of nosebands which was good for me since I couldnt find a plain cavesson of nice quality anywhere. It was just short of £200 if I remember correctly.

Regarding the elevators.... lovely concept... certainly the bridle that paved the way for a lot of the comfort style bridles but I dont like the leather. My trainer bought 3 early last year and they all look old. Our tack is cleaned daily and kept in good conditions but they have aged so fast. I dont know why because they certainly look lovely when new but they dont seem to stay that way

This was the main reason I opted for the albion over the elevator.
 
I have a couple of Stubben Bridles that I use for everyday use & for showjumping/Dressage at shows. They are cleaned at least once a week & always look good. I don't keep one back for best....no real point. One I bought from Derby House, around £80-90 I think, the other off ebay around £35 & nearly new.
 
equiport do lovely bridles but quite expensive! maybe ok for your competition budget though

Stubben bridles are nice but they stretch a lot and arent as good quality as they used to be
