I am planning on buying myself a Christmas present of a new bridle for my new-ish horse. He is currently using my old TBs bridle but it does not really suit him.
Ideally I would like to see them in the flesh but tack shops don't seem to hold great stock these days.
I am after a hunter style cavesson bridle in havana. Ideally with a padded headpiece but this is not vital. I want something very plain and smart looking. I am also not sure what width noseband would look good on him. I think something wider than standard but I am not sure. No real budget, happy to spend a decent amount if it will last as long as the horse. This is him (hope it works, it is my first go at posting pics):

I am going to Olympia just before Christmas will there be many to look at there do you think?

I have the Jeffries comfort padded headpiece bridle but it has a crank plain noseband, dont like flash ones, and it really suits my ISH horse who is very similar to your horse. Sabre also do bridles which you can put together yourself, I did so for a fellow livery's 40th birthday present and it worked out around £130. My own bridle was £185. The Sabre one had the hunter noseband which you describe you like, crank ones aren't for everyones taste. Both bridles are very nice and should last forever.

Your horse is lovely by the way!

Thanks. His saddle is a Jeffries Hawk event saddle so will have a look at the Jeffries bridle first. For the first time ever I might be matching!

Thats the saddle I have too for both my horses. The Jeffries bridle I have is havana as is the saddle so is the same colour.

Jingle Bell that looks really good. Unfortunately I want brass rather than stainles steel buckles.
IzzWizz, I forgot to ask does the Jeffires one have brass metalwork?

Im pretty certain that its stainless metalwork on the Jeffries, funny I use it lots and when asked the question I cant remember for sure lol.. To be honest I've not seen that many bridles with brass metalwork. If you dont find anything I guess the stainless will match your stirrup irons.

Nope - I have black plastic stirrup irons! To be honest I am not too bothered about the colour of the metalwork if everything else is right. It seems pretty much everything has stainless steel these days.
