Since putting my own horse on loan due to pregnancy, I'm temporarily riding a friends horse. There's a local show coming up - which classes do youthink we could do? Will paste the schedule below.

Horse hasn't done much jumping, so jump classes are out. He is ridden in a jointed pelham with 2 reins, we think he's pure ID, or ID x friesan, but no papers. 16.3hh, really lovely paces, very very forward going!

In hand best condition, you don't say how old he is but veterans if he is old enough. Ridden best turned out, equitation, novice depending on the criteria for it, ridden veteran if he is old enough. You could also do riding club horse, you get all kinds of horses in that, although you often have to jump in that, it is usually only one tiddly jump though. I would stay away from ridden or in hand hunter with him :)

Thanks! For the in-hand, can I show him in his current bridle (flat noseband, pelham & double reins)? He's 6/7 so couldn't do veteran.

What does R.S. stand for?

RS I would guess is ridden showing  so if it's just a general ridden class as opposed to ridden hunter or hack etc I guess you could do that too :) The bridle you have will be fine. The first thing I thought when I saw the pics was he looks like a Friesian but having never shown a Friesian I don't know if there are any specific rules regarding what you show them in. But a pelham with double reins or a double bridle is correct for a lot of things anyway so I'm sure it will be fine :)
