Which clipper blades do you use?

I use fine blades but my horse is tb x so not too hairy! Also they clip closer than most of the other peoples clippers in our yard. They get really close but also his coat is not coarse at all!

Oh I have had a nightmare with my standards this time, I am going to buy some fine ones this week because they havnt taken enough off.

I use mediums on my cob unless theres a wound or something that needs total exposure for the vet, then I use the fines. I find they are a bit too close for general clips.

I have 5 types for my Heinigers....

Standard - clip most horses with these
Thoroughbred - clip fine coated horses with these (they are between and standard and a fine)
Super fine - for veterinary purposes only
8mm cattle blades - general dog clipping
4mm cattle blades with wide tooth spacing - matted dog clipping
