What would the good people of HHO recommend?. Main criteria is lightweight, and as quiet as possible. Cordless would be great but not essential. Budget of around £300. Thankyou:)

Lister Star clippers are really fab!- have owned much more expensive and (supposedly!) heavy duty clippers before that and these have been so much better, really reliable, easy to use- never over heat and the blades last for ages without needing resharpening! highly recommend!

I agree, fantastic little clippers and under your budget. They're nice and compact and lightweight too and not overly noisy.

I have bought some lister star clippers, but havent used them yet, so when i saw your thread i went out and tried them, they are light weight, sound smooth, with a nice cut, they havent got a huge moter in them, but they say they are suitable for people with about 4 horses. I had my old Lister clippers for 20 years {dame heavy things compered to the star clippers} before they blow up on me last year.
