Hi all, just after a few suggestions if possible... Finally the sheep wire that seperates are paddocks is coming out this weekend so hopefully I can stop dreaming of stuck feet. We are temporarily replacing with electric until we newly fence the whole place. What would your perfect fencing be?
 
i did it at my old place. 3'9" high telegraph pole uprights (about 4' in the ground) with a V cut in the tops, and bitumen used with roofing felt to line the Vs, and then telegraph poles across the top slotted into the Vs, plus 2 rows of elec tape run off powerful mains powered unit, one strand parallel with inside of telegraph pole, the other halfway up. this was totally horse-safe and we never had a problem (other than the effort of installing it!)
i've seen and heard horror stories with every other type of fencing i know of.
 
Thanks, not heard of doing it like that but sound quite a feasable way. I'm so paranoid about fencing its unreal, can't seem to switch the mind off and wake up ina huge panic :-)
 
this!! :-))) happily it's what we have! top wires are to keep out foxes for lambing as we rotate the fields with our sheep. Tornado type premium horse mesh, hi tensiled with mahoosive tree trunk strainers!

I have some post and rail and some horse wire netting with an electric wire across the top. Like both but had no problems with the wire and a few loose rails, rails off etc with the post and rail but luckily no nail injuries! all good quality :)
