which hand do you salute with at end of dressage test?

I always salute with my right (not that I do much dressage XD) not sure if that's correct or not though!

From BD rule book effective from 1/12/11:

77. Salute

Competitors must take the reins and whip, if carried, in one hand. The free hand should be lowered to the rider's side and the rider should nod their head. Gentlemen may salute in the same manner, or, if they wish, they may remove and lower their hat with their free hand before nodding.

Doesn't matter I don't think, as long as you don't salute with your whip hand (if you're riding with one, that is).

Thanks for the replies. I'm sure I had a comment in a test I did a few years back saying saluted with wrong hand?!

Dont know if you have to, but I always salue with my right hand

If the salute is at the beginning of the test I look at which way we have to turn at C if left then I will salute with my right hand as if carrying a stick it is most likely to be in the inside hand. If turning right then I'l salute with my left hand.

If at the end of the test it will be with the hand that is not holding the whip - or if not carrying a whip then either hand

Always with my right hand, no particular reason why other than I am right handed and it feels more natural to do it with my right hand than left.
