I need to order some new pads for my hoof boots and am just musing over which to get.
I've used, on trimmer recommendation, both the Easycare 12mm medium pads and the EPS composite pads. The trimmers who recommended each of them both said definitely to not use the other! My horse seems happy in either to be fair so I'm probably wondering unnecessarily!
The main consideration is that he has arthritis so I like the idea of providing him some cushioning. He's still relatively new to barefoot though and while he's very comfortable, he could still do with developing the back of his feet some more, which is where I believe the EPS pads come in.
Any thoughts?
