My mare rubs in summer and I'm not sure if it's flys or sweetitch or a combo of both. She in previous years has mainly done her mane and tail but I've noticed tonight she's started on her neck/flank. Any rec as to which horsewear ireland rug to go for? I'm set on that brand as they fit her shape so well.

Thanks

I have the Rambo sweet itch hoody and it is great by far the best sweet itch rug I have had. You can get a waterproof liner for them too which has been v useful this last week!!

Oh no, was hoping you wouldn't recommend the expensive one lol!!

Even if it's not sweet itch it would stop fly bites I guess? Can you use them without the liner in the rain? I don't/wouldn't bother rugging in summer as she's hardy.

Just looking the prices they are quite a lot more than the Amigo Bug Rug (which is what i currently have) - what makes them worth paying that much extra if you don't mind me asking? Thanks both x

Sorry, it's the Fly Sheet I've got not the bug rug. The Aussie all rounder looks good too though......gah, too much choice!

My mare wears it all the time as she has sweet itch and it is really robust. most of the fly rugs I have tried having fallen to pieces and I am not sure they keep all the midges out. Worth the money!
