Away to have a look around for insurance for my puppy so looking for advice on who would be good to insurance with and who I should avoid. As I have had issues with isurance company for my horses before so want to know who best out there.

Thanks.

None of them. Put your money in a 'dog emergency' savings account instead!!

Just my opinion :-)

Back when I had a LOT less dogs I had cover with direct line and they paid out on a claim no problem at all. Ask your vet, they'll know who is best to deal with. Mine recommend NFU.

Many put limits on of 12 months for claims.

Just watch the amount per claim as it varies massively between companies. So you kind over have to decide how much cover you need/want.

We have direct line, because we couldn't afford petplan (even with the discount they have for vets!). Look for one with life of condition cover, with a high enough cover limit. If you have a larger breed, be aware that drug costs will be much higher as vets dose by weight (unlike doctors...)
