i am not sure tbh but i have said rug with a neck.
i chose this because of the blood supply up the neck is being kept warm, you know like,if we wear a hat and gloves?
???

I like the rugs with built in neck (and I think my horse would agree?!) their style/design (ie Rambos) also seems to make rubbing on the chest/shoulders dramatically reduced. This is the same with those high neck designs - no more bald shoulders!

A Horse's massive jugular vein runs up the side of the neck so a lot of heat can be lost there. Also the neck is quite a large % of the total body area so it will be losing that % of heat. Gotta say, I prefer the all-in-one rugs with necks coz often on the clip on ones there's a big gap that lets in the wind and the rain! Of course, if you get an all-in-one rug you need another one for when it's milder. This is where you have to cut your credit card into tiny pieces to stop yourself buying hundreds of rugs for each horse! It is fun though! xxx

Thanks everyone! I was right then!

Clipping Mo & Moll today, so needed to decide which rugs are warmest!

We've been hardening them up so they appreciate the warmer rugs when they're clipped.
Yeah, i prefer the all-in-ones too, but we've got a mixture. Millions of rugs, yet i'd happily buy millions more....if i could afford it!
