which jacket?

mum got me a new show jacket for christmas and it never arrived so going shopping for one next week and not sure what to get,

i have an old hacking jacket that is a little too big, and an old black jacket that isnt very nice so need a new one! but cant decide which to get! i Showjump, event, hunt occasionally, and on the very odd occassion show

what should i get?

Mears make lovely tweed jackets, they may be pricey, but well worth the money if you're going to wear it for a few years!

But if you'd rather have a black or navy jacket, Pikeur seems to be popular and very nice!

mmmm...like Pikeur ones, just couldnt decide if i needed a new hacking jacket or black jacket

thats what i thought, and i suppose out of the two i have my tweed one looks the worst as is too big, my black one looks ok from a distance

if i get another tweed whats the best colour? would have to go with a black hat and a bay horse

I think you need a brown tweed jacket for the winter but they get really hot in the summer for dressage. So you need a black pikeur too!!!!!

Problem solved.

Also as you havent found your new horse yet, and it might be chestnut, brown would look nice!!!!

Get a tweed - many reasons, but one of them is that if the horse dribbles and slobbers on you, it doesn't show ...

Well really I think you should get both!!!!! Try looking on ebay or your local free ads for a good 2nd hand jacket. I would get a good tweed jacket first.

Lucinda Green do a lurvely tweed hacking jacket -me wants one but I got a lovely one from my showing days and amazingly enough it still fits!!!
