Can anybody recommend some knee boots for roadwork. I'm not fussed synthetic or leather but they mustn't move or rub and most importantly offer good protection.
Thankyou
I found the best were the woof wear ones but unfortunatly they are discontinued (try ebay, and if you see them grab em!), so have recently bought the clarendon ones, not keen on fleece lining but they wash well don't seem to move or rub and easy to fit- hope that helps!
I find the brushing boots that have a knee flap brilliant and of course if a horse did fall it wouldn't be knocked upwards as can happen with the normal boots.I think they are made by westgate now ,they used to be made by woof
I'd go for leather ones every time, with a bottom strap which stops them riding up & exposing the knee in the event of a fall. These on this link are ideal:
i prefer the leather ones with a bottom strap! I never go out without them! I have tried the synthetic ones, but didn't really like then! I think leather ones are more durable!
I've got some neoprene ones that are combined brushing boots, they have three wide velro straps and have been really hard wearing as well as being soft and easy to clean and quick to dry, don't know the make as at home. I bought them 2nd hand and they still have plenty of use left in them for when my other baby needs to use them, if you want to now the make I shall look tomorrow when at the yard.
QR - Thankyou everyone for your suggestions; I think I will go for some leather ones. I'm watching a couple of pairs on ebay but I might hold fire and have a browse at badminton, real shopping is much more fun than online
