OK, since my Jeep with my leather boots in it, I'm going to have to "treat" myself to a new pair urgently and just splash out for a decent pair. The trouble is, I'm not sure what make the ones that were stolen were. I got them at the Royal Highland Show about 3 years ago and from the first wear they were the softest, most pliant leather. I thought they were Cavallos, but reading from the reviews on here, they are not as soft as mine were.

So I'm completely puzzled as to whether I should get Cavallos, Sergio Grassos or Sarm Hippique. But I've narrowed it down to those 3 brands. So my requirements are softness straightaway, good tapering along the contour of the leg, zips at the back. I use them mainly for jumping and working hunter, but garter straps are not essential as my tailor can put them in. In fact,t he ones which were stolen were so soft even though they had dressage tops, for showing I just folded them over and they were invisible?

Any recommendations, inc how the sizes come up, welcome.

My Cavallos lasted 11 years but I have now sadly put them to rest, lol. They were mega stiff when I first got them, I literally had to wear them in them for weeks before even attempting to mount a horse (unlike my new Konigs, rode in them the same day) But then they did last exceptionally well. I preferred them being quite stiff, kept my legs in place lol.

I haven't had Sergio Grasso or Sarm Hippique so can't compare them.
