which new sweet-itch rug??????

Snuggyhoods are tough but my cobbie overheats in them..I've only tried the Boett out of those but will be interested in what people say. I think alot depends on the degree of Sweet Itch..
The Pagony doesn't specifically claim to protect against sweet itch so may only be suitable for mild cases..

I have a solva Icelandics rug for my shetland that has had severe swet itch and it has worked fantastically and is still in one piece! I will definatley buy another one from them when this one starts to wear. He is being clipped tomorrow in preparation for the little mites.

I have the boett and my pony who has severe sweetitch lived out 24/7 in it and still had enough mane to show him as an m&m.

Also you should be aware that within the next 2 years the sweetitch vaccine should be available to the general public!
Ive been on the vaccine trials with my pony and it has helped alot

have you any more info about the vaccine please?
or where to find more.
my mare has had it for 2 years now.last year she had a scab behind each ear that she scratched with her foot.i manage with a rug and leccy fencing well but it is time consuming.

The snuggy hoods one was really tough but rubbed the tail hair off two ponies I know! As in, massive strips either side of the dock raw, hairless and oozing!
