As the title really, there are so many to choose from at ranging from the cheap ebay ones to the proper £90. Then inbetween there are the John Whitakar and Mark Todd.

Has anyone any expieriance of any of the above?

Thank you

I've got the cheap one off ebay, works fine. Sometimes the ropes slip but i've put plaiting bands on them to stop them moving so easily.

i used to use the abbot davies balancing rein as you can use it for both riding and lunging it also can be used in 4 (i think) different ways (1 was just for lunging in).
ive never just a pessoa before but a friend has and her mare kept catching her legs and cuting them. didnt suit her.

original pessoa's where designed for big german horses, so if you dont have one of those i would suggest you dont use one! if you watch the pessoa video, everytime the horses hind legs are behind him the pessoa tugs on his mouth! i dont like them, i think there are better ways of getting your horse to go correctly - just had bad experiences with them..each to their own

I use the Mark Todd and it seems to work exactly as the original and as a little bonus, the ropes have blue markers on them so they are perfect for getting the balance right on either side :P

I agree. I have just bought an equiami as I need to instensively lunge my horse (has KS) and vet recommended pessoa but I do not like the action. the Equiami works completely differently.
