Ok, I am writing an advert BUT nobody who reads this thread is allowed to purchase. I am wondering which 2 pictures to use?

2 (a bit fuzzy but big jump!)

3

4 (again with the fuzzy but nice jump!)

5 (smaller jump but no fuzz)

Or are any of these suitable?

3 and 5, she's making a nice shape over them, and 5 is actually probably as big as 4 with the spread. Plus she's giving it lots of air. I like the jump in number one, but she looks much tidier in the clipped photos and they show her off better.

Hi, yeah I kinda thought that, what a shame that nobody is capable of focusing! It is Great westwood, we had so much fun there, she even jumped the boat, that was huge!

So 1 and 3 or 5?

I actually thought this morning how stunning your horse is when i saw your sig on a thread!.....i would use 1, 3 and 5 and i bet the phone will go crazy!

1st and 3rd the first one is really unusal and shows he jumps really bright solid fences and the 3rd becasue he looks so neat over it.

Lovely pony :)

Me and Zoomy jumped the boat, cleanly too!....then promptly both sh@t ourselves. She then wouldn't jump anything else all day :( Lesson learnt......that jump is TOO big for me and one-eye.

Kudos to you......you are braver than me :D

Aw thanks Skychick and Sheri! She's the second one in my sig, the other orange one is waaay bigger but I always have had a soft spot for orange ones :D

I'd only use No.3 out of those.

That's interesting, I do like that shot but what is your reasoning behind the others not suiting?

M&Z yeah, I'm not brave at all and there is no way on earth I would have attempted it with anything else- I like remaining close to the ground at all times (that's probably why I fall off so much!). At least you jumped it- it's MAHOOSIVE! I had to do it twice as my friend was too slow with the camera, she got me as I landed and then videoed me from about 100 miles away!

i'd only use number 3.
and reasoning because you asked earlier to someone else..
number 1 looks like a really old photo
number 2 is too blurry
number 4 is too small to tell much!
number 5 just isn't as nice a shape as number 3 :)

Oh, thanks Charli! I see what you mean about pic 1, the quality is better on my computer but perhaps uploading caused some darkening? It's only from a couple of months ago. You're right about pic 5 too- she gets some lift over it but is making a better shape in pic 4 although is a little blurry (must have been going vvv fast). Is it worth having a jumping picture and then one of her stood up without tack or best with 2 jumping pics? She's quite a nice looking pony but is certainly no show stopper so I was hoping to show her at her best (over mahoosive jumpies)....

Obviously as shes not for sale to anyone on here......its my birthday in a couple of weeks....and she would make an amazing birthday present :-D :-D :-D :-D

I would use 1 and 3. I would definitely buy a horse that wasn't spooky enough to jump over a plane!!! And 3 she throws a nice shape.

if number 1 is recent and you have a better quality version of it, then yeah put it in, or write in the advert when the photo was taken, as it does say copyright 2010 on it, because number 1 shows she must be rather bold!!
but if she jumps bigger i'd be inclined to get one of her jumping a bigger fence, especially if in the advert you're going to say she jumps 4ft (or whatever) but then the picture is much smaller than 4ft!
i'd put one of her on the flat too, or a standing one like you said

Bigger?? Aaargh, I thought I was doing well over the 3' 6" boat, I had to borrow a child to get the sj pictures.... So, unfortunately I can only use 2 pics and I'd really like (if they are both jumping pics) for one to be coloured poles and one xc so if I use pic 1 I can't use pic 3? Maybe I use pic 3 and if they ask for more pics I send pic 1? Oh goodness this is so confusing, I'm so glad I have you guys to help me!

Poor Skychick, I have some broken ones that I can post for your birthday but not the only superstar pony I'm afraid :(

which one is 3ft6? i'm lost haha! can you not get someone to take the pony to a SJ show? cos then you can show she's alright with fillers

Ah ok, in that case I would use pic 3 (big jump over a solid fence and lovely shape) and a picture of her standing to show conformation etc. If you can only put in one jumping pic due to a standing pic then I would go for a big cross country jump, rather than poles. not sure why, but it does draw me in a bit more if i see an advert with a picture like that. Then maybe send some showjumping ones and more cross country and standing ones.

I'd only use 3.

my issue with 1 is that the horse kinda blends into the background for some reason on it iyswim!

Hahaha, sorry I was going back to an earlier convo with M&Z about a xc jump at Great Westwood!

Ok, pic 3 and maybe see if I can get a better one over poles? I'll get one of her stood up and see what you think- I'm ready for the barrage of comments about what a plain/porky/scruffy pony she is.... :(

Just found these too! Although not sure I can use them as they are copywritten (sp?)

I can of course get some more pics now that she has lost some weight and got her summer coat in but they give you an idea of her looks and so you can decide whether a confo pic is a good or bad idea! Not that she has bad conformation of course, it's just that she's still a little fat and won't be winning any pageants....

Oh, and I have a video of her jumping a course of 2' 6" ish fences to show she's good over fillers.
