Hi all,

Can any of you recommend a certain product? I'm looking at Brinicombe Think Pink but there are so many to consider....my horse currently has spillers lite balancer but her coat just seems really dull and she just doesn't look very healthy....which is why I'm going to try a probiotic now.

Any advice would be great. :)

Protexin is my probiotic of choice. But I'm not sure the symptoms you mention would immediately point towards probiotics?
My sisters horse looks fab on Spillers Lite but perhaps your horse needs more than this? Probiotics will help digest feed but can't take place of it. If coat dull consider other causes?

Well the thing is, I've only had her for about 4/5 months and she's got a major winter coat going on...thankfully she's started to malt now. So I don't really know if she just looks terrible over winter. I guess I'll have to wait until Summer to see if she looks any better. She has good feed and a balancer like I said and I groom her all the time, but just looks dull :(

It's only because somebody else mentioned trying a probiotic that I started looking. She has gone through stressful periods although she's not stressed anymore and I know that this can disrupt their inner balance. I think I'm just going to add more oil to her diet for the time being and she's getting all the nutrients and minerals she needs! I think you can go a bit over the top with all the supplements etc

Thanks for all your responses though :)

another vote for protexin

but if you are looking towards getting a nice condition on your horse i would recommend pure feeds fibre balance as it has a prebiotic and is absolutely brilliant for condition and health
