I have been given £100 for Christmas to buy myself some riding boots. I already have a pair of Toggi Calgary for general use so I am looking for a smarter pair for competition (basic riding club level/uaffiliated dressage & showing). There is very little in the way of tack shops locally so do I choose a pair of shires which I could try on and would know that they fit or should I risk mail order and if so choose either
a) A pair of Brogini boots from Mole Valley Farmers (will have to put some more money towards them)
b)A pair of Dublin Aristocrat boots
Any views or helpful suggestions gratefully received.

i have just bought a pair of the new regent boots with a zip up the back. they have a new shaped and grippy sole and higher cut tops. the leather is so supple that they dont need wearing in and the zip means they are easy to get on...they are really smart and look very expensive....but only cost £106

Ariat without a doubt... any of their boots are brilliant i'm a bif fan

Which Regent ones were they and where did you have them from as all the boots that I can find seem to be more expensive.
Thanks

I really like my Broginis, I have had problems with the zips in all 3 pairs of ariats i've had, my last pair I had to cut my foot out of after a month when the zip broke. Then i wasnt given a refund as apparently i had deliberatly damaged them by cutting them off my foot!!!!!!!! Well I wasnt going to sleep with a boot on, and there really was no other way to get the boot off!!!!!!!!!!
