Leather/leather look long riding boots
But fully waterproof
Ladies
Wide foot but slim calf
Good value!
Thanks very much

Mountain Horse. I currently have a pair of Ariats which are no where near as comfortable. My DeNiros were probably second to the Mountain Horse.

Are these waterproof to walk through mud?
To be honest I’m not certain there are any/many boots which tick all these requirements. People tend to have boots for riding in and wellies to deal with mud.
Unless you go back to the good old rubber riding boots.

Definitely anything Mountain Horse.

I've managed to use their Rimfrost riders in winter (if they still make them?) doubled up as yard and riding boots.

But nowadays I have mountain horse for riding and simple wellies for chores.

Well….loads of archive photos of top show jumpers, eventers (probably not the dressage lot, but they weren’t very prevalent then, anyway) routinely exercising and schooling horses in their green Hunter wellies….
If you want lovely leather boots to ride in, and waterproof for muddy fields, you need two pairs!

If you have a cold feet problem - I have solved mine by buying rechargeable hand warmers (cheap on amazon) and leaving them in my riding boots while I get the horse in, then swapping (popping the warmers in my wellies - le chameau, so expensive but amazing), and vice versa. I used to have a pair of old Ariat bromonts (insulated) which did many winters and I wore all the time, which may be another option. They are incredibly hard wearing and could still clean up ok even from being plastered in mud, but were still ok for riding.

I saw today that Ariat have a tall version of the Telluride boot which seems to be advertised as a riding and doing all the muddy/much jobs boot.

I am tempted but OH and have both had Ariat boots a couple of years ago that were an absolute let down. I'm not sure I can trust them again!
