Just remember to check which ones actually have the bristish kite mark, a lot of these hats are the European standard and therefore aren't useable in competition or on fun rides etc (not that I've ever been anywhere that has ever checked).

I suggest you get one that fits

Have a look at the Mark Davies Injured Jockeys website as they independently grade hats.

The kitemark gives you no extra protection, but you will need it if you compete Pony or Riding Club - every other organisation is international, so realises its stupid to require a kitemark which forces the consumer to buy the product from one country.

I've got the harry hall elite. It is so light and comfy, i love it. However it is not kitemarked so no good for BE and riding club stuff. I ride 6/7 horses a day at work so i use a different one for competing and use the harry hall one for work.

This really annoyed me last week. Ollie needed a new hat & the Harry Hall fitted perfectly, but he does PC so no good. The next cheapest one that fitted was twice the price
