I'm looking for a 6' 3" rug which will do a similar job to a Thermatex. Can anyone recommend a rug that will wick sweat away, ok for travelling and stable? Can't afford a new Thermatex : ( and a bit concerned that all the used onesfor sale seem to have lots of damage.

Mark Todd Coolex rugs are lovely, heavier than a Thermatex though. Also like Comfort Zone rugs, lighter and more showy but wash up well, though bedding stick more to them than the others.

Mark Todd deluxe fleece from equestrian clearance is lovely and warm & v smart & has the faux sheepskin around the neck and front of the rug

I have a Colin Cook Thermalux and a Weatherbeeta Thermocell. I wouldn't travel mine in the Thermalux as it's too heavy but the Thermocell is perfect.

If you don't mind them looking a bit moth eaten/ mouse chewed then second hand ones are great - they do just as good a job at keeping them warm while drying. I got mine for £20 - it does look like it's had a good fight with something but does the job perfectly!

I've been following this thread with interest. I had the Weatherbeeta version for my cob, but I sent it with him when he went on loan. Can't seem to find the ones with an integral neck anywhere. If anyone knows where I can get one I would be very grateful!
