I have only done a few dressage comps but would like to do some showing classes with my boy, just dont know which classes he would suit! Help!! I am taking him to his first show since aug last year and am going to do walk/trot dressage and a showing class..the choice is..Ridden Hunter, Riding horse or riding club horse, which should i do?? It is a local low level show but they have Royal london qualifiers (not a hope in hell!! lol)

I'd say defo the RC Horse. He would probably be better suited for the Hunter class than the Riding Horse although ideally for the Hunters he'd need to have a bit more chunk - judging off whats winning round our neck of the woods recently. For the Riding Horse he might have a bit too much bone. But hey, if it's local you could stick him in all three. Plain bridle for the hunters and a nice poncy coloured browband for the Riding Horse. Good luck!!!!

Riding Club horse class

Riding horses tend to be TB (or very nearly TB) and finer than your boy.

How is he bred? In the photos he looks more like a sports horse - quite warmbloody in the dressage photo?

No idea what classes you should put him in, although I'd probably have a go at all three- just wanted to say that I think he's gorgeous :)

defo hunter and rc horse altho if his canter isn;t brilliant that might let you down a smidge although it all depends on the judge, if you can afford it i'd pop him in all 3 classes, it won't do any harm

What a lovely looking horse :) if it is local you can try all three however I would place him more Hunter, especially in the first pic and under saddle I would say RC and Hunter. Have fun and enjoy yourself!!
