hi guys,

sorry for 2 posts in one night :s

Im looking to buy a tweed jacket for showing/working hunter classes etc. and also one that i can wear for showjumping and dressage. These will be low level shows but i still want to look correct and smart :) I would prefer a navy jacket over black however not sure if i can wear this for dressage- or maybe the hacking jacket would do for dressage?? aaaaargh help lol! ;P

Not at all, a nice tweed always looks smart!
I jump my cob mare (granted, its unaff, around 80cm) in tweed, it suits her much more if we're turned out as if we're doing working hunter. x

Even though I have both I much prefer my tweed for hunting, showing, jumping etc just feel it looks better. So If I were you go for a nice tweed, can't beat them :)

Well this is where it gets tricky...with a tweed I'm almost sure you ahve to wear a stock...so that opens up the whole 'what colour stock do I wear'...

Personally I have quite a posh tweed which I bought second hand and a cheapy navy showjacket which can easily be matched with a collared blouse thing for jumping....

I believe its always a coloured stock with tweed (mine was £2 inc postage on ebay)
Cream/beige/canary breeches (or beige tesco jods :) )
Shirt, well i have a cheapie of ebay but since you can't see it might change for a t shirt.

No you don't have to wear a stock at all with tweed. A nice shirt and tie to match the jacket. And no on the white jodhpurs, go for cream.
