So having had my lovely trailer written of by a tornado I'm on the hunt for a replacement. I tow one fell pony 450kg who wont travel with partitions . I tow with a kia sportage . Problem is the Insurance settlement is not enough to buy new.

My thoughts are

Cheval touring 1 loved mine rip. Light to tow, pony happy in it. Big jockey door so dont get scalped. Easy to manoeuvre and a quite ride. Back blind so pony shut in but airy. Great Windows but had to black out back ones. Lower to ground so stable only 30 cm narrower than double. Super light weight 675 kg

Downsides aluminium sides get very hot in summer and very cold in winter . Only has back blind so not great when camping in it. Hard to get it serviced as most places only really do ifors. No sensible place to tie Haynets at venues.

Ifor 403 750 kg so.still light weight.easier to camp in as has back shutters.cooler in summer as glasonite. Has roof vent as well as windows. Tie Haynes to back bar on ramp. More aero dynamic design than cheval. Easier to get it serviced and repaired and can replace sides etc

Cut off mid flow
Downsides a bit heavier. Look.narrower though same width as cheval. Nosier to tow stiffer ride.

506 wider so can put stuff in front heavier but would strip out partitions and have full.widht bars. Easier to find one for sale

We have a double cheval and love it! Local dealers will service them for you, ours does. Not seen a single but the double is fantastic and light, gives the horses a great ride even bad loaders and travellers. Much less rattly than the ifors.

This is a FB group you can post on there for opinions and also find somewhere to service it near you https://www.facebook.com/share/fwE58LZb5yRE63nB/?mibextid=K35XfP
