As it looks like it's going to be *another* wet winter and our fields are already a complete mudbath

I am thinking about buying a set of wraps to dry the beastie's muddy legs off overnight and try and keep the mudfever at bay.

Have been browsing around and am confused!! Does anyone have any recommendations as to which brand I should buy?

I've had the cordura outer thermatex wraps for about 8years now and they are still like new - do a brilliant job too - would definitely buy more

the equichaps are quite good, from the same folk as do tri-zone brushing boots, otherwise i would say that some bandage pads with towelling on either side and some good fleece bandages are better than anything else - so long as you are sure your bandaging is ok, and your horse won't suck them like my old pony did!

Ive got the stable chaps and also some fab ones from cashel.
My cashels cost £50 but premier equine do them for £15!!! They are the big padded ones and are brill!

Ive had sooo many stable wraps over the years. I did like the thermatex ones but must admit, i prefer ones shaped to the legs these days.

Im now use the equilibria stable chaps and the magnetic stable chaps and i love them

Thermatex cordua covered ones have worked miracles with our lot over the years. We've never had mud fever despite others at the yard getting it. Frantically touching wood as I type this...

I have some aerborne colin cook ones....brilliant because the velcro fastenings are elasticated so you get a really snug but not overtight fit. Not expensive as well.
