Hi All
Id really like to put my mare in foal next year, but am unsure which stallion to use for the best (im a breeding virgin)
As my mare is fairly versitile with good movement, a fab jump and a temprement to die for, i'd like to use something similar, but slightly chunkier as Millie is very fine (but not a real chunky monkey as this will be her first foal).
The foal i'd be keeping for myself so aslong as it does the job i want it to do (ie bit of SJ, dressage, RC Eventing etc), doesn't have to have the most amazing pedigree going.
My mare is 15.3ish full TB with racing history and is 14 yrs old.
Any help will be gratefully recieved. I had planned to put her in foal this year but there were so many fab stallions, i just didnt know which one to use for the best, and just got really confused!.
Here is a pic of her being ridden, have none of her not being ridden on this laptop (please note this pic was taken in May time when she had done very little work)

Thanks in advance

Shes lovely. Have a look at Grannex www.whorridge.co.uk hes bred some cracking eventers (granneveka Prince whos Advanced) and lots of good showjumpers hes warmblood so would add a bit of bone to ure mare.

Hello, do I recognise you from somewhere? Lol.
Have you looked at any of the Louella Stud stallions? There's some rather nice ones there (they aren't far from my parents). Primitive Star is lovely, but you might be interested in some of the others too. Look at www.louellastud.co.uk

Goshka Ringo would suit her well, Ok I am biased as I have 2 by him, Bananaman has the lovely Spider by him and Sportznight has B in-foal to him. But he definitely would be a fab choice! He has the most amazing temperament, which definitely passes to his foals, my 2 and Spider have super temperaments. Also Kate and Tina (his owners) are so lovely!

But you might not want a coloured, so how about Libro?

I'm considering using him on my WB next year or Chaos another of Meadow Stud's stallions. Also Meadow Stud is supposed to be excellent.

sallyf has the most stunning TB stallions, I love her Groomsbridge May I and I'd love to use him on my NF mares, but yours might be more suited to High Tension who is WOW-

I would take a look at Langaller Farm stallions, and ask their advice by emailing a pic of your mare. They really know their stuff and are good at getting first time mares in foal.
Weld is turning into a really nice stallion and they have some excellent others too.
